MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS SUITABLE FOR FLAME AND INDUCTION HARDENING

 

Four Groups of material will respond to Flame & Induction hardening Techniques

Carbon steels:

080M40, C40E, 1.1186, AISI1040, 080M46, C40E, 1.1196 , AISI1045,

070M55, C45E, 1.120, AISI1055, 605M36.

Earlier specifications are EN8, EN8D, EN9, EN16

Stainless Steel:

420S45, X30Cr13, 1.4028, AISI51420, 420S37, X20Cr13, 1.4021, AISI51410,

420S29, X20Cr13, 1.4021, AISI 51410

Low Alloy steels:

708M40, 42CrMo4, 1.7225, AISI4140, 708H42, 42CrMo4 + H, 1.7225 + H, AISI4145,

709M40, AISI4140, 817M40, 34CrNIMo6, 4.6582, AISI4140, 535A99, 100Cr6, 1.2067, AISI52100, BS4659 B01 9CRWMn, AISI01.

Cast Irons:

EN-GJS 600-3, EN-GJS 700-2, Grade 200 grey cast iron, Grade 250 grey cast iron.
